ARE YOU ABLE TO VOLUNTEER?
It takes a village to make MLL special, so please pitch in however you can. Volunteers are needed not just in coaching, but also to help run all of our events and operations. We always need helping hands!

Challenger Programs

Fall 2025 Challenger

The McLean Little League Challenger Division was established in 2012. Its purpose is to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide. Challenger games can be played as tee ball games, coach pitch, player pitch, or a combination of the three. The Challenger players wear the same uniforms, shoulder patches and safety equipment as other Little League players.

Baseball Programs

Fall 2025 Baseball

For fall baseball, players are encouraged to use their League Age for the following Spring as a guide in selecting a level. There is no evaluation and selection (draft) in fall.

League Age by date of birth:
  • 9/1/2009 to 8/31/2010 - 16
  • 9/1/2010 to 8/31/2011 - 15
  • 9/1/2011 to 8/31/2012 - 14
  • 9/1/2012 to 8/31/2013 - 13
  • 9/1/2013 to 8/31/2014 - 12
  • 9/1/2014 to 8/31/2015 - 11
  • 9/1/2015 to 8/31/2016 - 10
  • 9/1/2016 to 8/31/2017 - 9
  • 9/1/2017 to 8/31/2018 - 8
  • 9/1/2018 to 8/31/2019 - 7
  • 9/1/2019 to 8/31/2020 - 6
  • 9/1/2020 to 8/31/2021 - 5
  • 9/1/2021 to 8/31/2022 - 4

The baseball program is open to boys and girls and includes multiple levels catering to different age and skill levels - here are guidelines;
  • Intermediate: league age 13
  • Major: league age 10-12, highest level of play in Little League, least mandatory play rules
  • AAA: league age 9-11, mandatory play rules, player pitch
  • AA: league age 8-10, mandatory play rules, mostly player pitch with some coach pitch
  • A: league age 7-9, mostly coach pitch with introduction to to player pitch
  • Transition: league age 6-8, all coach pitch

  • AA: league age 8-10, mostly machine/coach pitch with some player pitch
  • A: league age 7-9, machine/coach pitch with limited introduction of player pitch
  • Transition: league age 6-8, introduction to softball, all machine/coach pitch
