2025 MLL Baseball Awards

The David Sells Memorial Award (MVP) - presented annually to Major League players who personify
teamwork, good temper, stamina, cooperation, competitive spirit and ability.

AL – Ethan Silver/Zachary Silver
NL – Aitan Siddiqui

The Fred Kerlin Outstanding Pitcher Award - The award is presented annually to the Major League
baseball players whose personal qualities, spirit and performance on the field best represent the
leadership skills and dedication to duty necessary for the pitcher's position and recognizes Mr. Kerlin's
belief that the mental component of pitching is as key as a good arm.

AL – Patrick Clancey
NL – Xander Mahoozi

The Chris Fay Memorial Award - This award is presented annually to the Major League baseball player
whose personal qualities, spirit, and performance on the field best represent the leadership skills and
dedication to duty necessary for the catcher's position and the citizenship-building tradition of Little
League.



AL – Josh Mojumdar / Ethan Kim
NL – Bobby Bradenham

The Bob Hampton Most Improved Player Award - The award is presented annually to the Major League
baseball players (one from each league) whose spirit and determination in playing the game shows the
most improvement over the season.

AL – Matthew Arnholt / Kiran Bagla
NL – Drew Flickinger / Gus Lehnert

The Mark Bleiweis Newcomer Award – The award is presented annually to new, non 12-year-old, Major
League baseball players (one from each league) who had the most positive impact to their teams in their
first year at the Major League level.

AL – Liam Maxwell
NL – Decker Fay / Henry Couchara

Gold Glove Award – The Gold Glove is awarded to the Majors players (one from each league) who
played the best defensively.
AL – Ben Bilello
NL – Parker Starr

Silver Slugger Award – The Silver Slugger is awarded to the Majors players (one from each league) who
played the best offensively.
AL – Sawyer Minch / Blake Pedersen
NL – Jacob Turnidge / Jacob Goldstein

Fred Stevenson Memorial Award - Presented annually to the Minor League baseball player(s) whose
personal qualities embody the goals of MLL: teamwork, good temperament, stamina, cooperation,
competitive spirit, and ability. The award honors the memory of a coach and friend of MLL.

AL – Aiden McFeely
NL – Ramon “Tre” Santiago Lindskoog

Scott Bradshaw Leadership Award - This award is presented to the baseball All-Star player who showed
inspirational leadership at tournament games. The award honors the memory of Scott Bradshaw,
former McLean Little League player who lost his life in an automobile accident.

AL – George Sun
NL – Brooks Weigle

2025 MLL Softball Awards

The Hopkins Family Most Improved Award - This award is presented annually to Junior and Major League players whose spirit and determination in playing the game of softball show the most improvement over the season.  The award was funded by a gift of Richard and Jenny Hopkins in honor of their three children Tristan, Kirsten, and Devon, and in gratitude of the contributions of three coaches, Kevin Fay, Karen Vagley, and Joe Wagner.  

2025 recipient: Risa Benson

The Newcomer of the Year Award - This award is presented annually to the softball player who has made the biggest impact on her team and the game in her first spring season in Majors. 

2025 recipient: Belle Holtby

The Sabrina Moore Pitcher of the Year Award - The Sabrina Moore Pitcher of the Year Award is given to the Major League Softball player who has demonstrated the dedication and skill to become one of the League’s top pitchers.  The award is given in honor of Sabrina Moore who has served as McLean Little League’s pitching clinic instructor since the early 1990s and has taught generations of McLean Little League softball players to pitch through the years and serves as a great role model and mentor for MLL pitchers young and old.

The Chris Fay Award - This award is presented annually to the Major League baseball and softball catchers whose personal qualities, spirit, and performance on the field best represent the leadership skills and dedication to duty necessary for the catcher’s position, and the citizenship-building tradition of little league.  This award honors the memory of Chris Fay, a former baseball player at Bishop O’Connell High School and the United States Naval Academy.  

2025 recipient:

Mackenna Galbraith

Mary Kathleen Kelley Award - This MVP award is presented annually to a Major League softball player whose personal qualities embody the goals of Little League: teamwork, good temper, stamina, cooperation, competitive spirit, and ability.  The award honors the memory of Mary Kathleen Kelley, a former Little Leaguer and member of the Langley High School 1992 Virginia State Championship softball team, who lost her life in an automobile accident in 1993 at the age of 17. 

2025 recipient: Lucy Orme

Silver Slugger - Excellence in offense. 2025 recipients: Juliette Brainard and Maddie Memoli

Golden Glove - Excellence in defense. 2025 recipients: Elizabeth Peebles and Sarah Lazarus
